Scar therapy is gentle, slow, and deeply respectful of both your body and your story. Your therapist will begin by learning a little about your scar — how and when it occurred, and how it’s currently affecting you. Treatment is always done with full consent and sensitivity.
Techniques may include light touch, myofascial release, skin and fascial gliding, and work with the surrounding tissue — all designed to calm the area, reduce restriction, and help the body re-integrate the scar.
This work is suitable for most scars once the surface has fully healed (usually 8–12 weeks post-injury or surgery).
Gentle Scar Therapy is ideal if you have a scar that still feels uncomfortable, tight, sensitive, or emotionally confronting — even if it’s years old. It’s especially helpful after surgeries such as C-sections, hysterectomies, joint replacements, or breast surgeries, and for scars that impact movement, digestion, posture, or body awareness.
If you’re unsure whether your scar is ready for treatment, just reach out — we’re happy to guide you.
